Wasp in the cooker hood

It's in there, buzzing, buzzing, buzzing. At first I thought I was going mad, or that the fridge was about to die. But no, a wasp is living (or trapped) in the cooker hood.

I switched it on for a few seconds and all went silent. But only for a couple of minutes.

I am so tired. So very, very tired. My back is aching. When I move, I can feel – and hear – the vertebrae crack.

  1. hey mell, i am, of course, the expert in cooker hoods, but a wasp, jeez, no idea what to suggest apart from unscrewing it, which i would not recommend unless you have someone to help you and/or very strong arms.

  2. Ah, NMJ, you know – when I hear the words cooker and hood juxtaposed, I think of you. In a good way.

Happily, the buzzing has stopped. It may have been a large fly, as I saw one floating around the kitchen later – I guided it out the window. Very mysterious. Sort of.
