Oh, Sir Alan!

The outcome of last night's episode of The Apprentice was ridiculous. Why did Sir Alan fire Shazia? It was blatantly obvious that Jenny Loudmouth should go. She was rude, unpleasant and lacking charisma. Also, she let Shazia leave the premises (this was the main reason that Sir Alan fired Shazia) – so shouldn't it be down to her to know who should stay and who should leave the place of work? Very odd.

Raef and the boys turned around their reputation and ran a slick ship, winning the challenge hands down. There was no silly bickering – just lots of camaraderie. I know whose team I'd rather have been on (though I'd have to have a sex change!).

  1. I just caught the end of this last night and then watched the You're Fired programme afterwards. As I'd missed the first programme too I didn't really know which about them but that Jenny woman was awful. I hated the way that she kept telling them not to interupt her. She sounded like she was using some assertiveness training technique but it made her look a monster.

Shazia should have argued her corner better in the boardroom but from what I saw later she didn't deserve to be there in the first place. I'm definitely watching it next week. I didn't bother last year so I'd forgotten how good it is.

  2. hey mell, i look forward to your weekly bulletins on the apprentice! ... i didn't see the beginning last night, but the teamleader was awful, she should have been fired...the posh blonde (lucinda?)one is just another version of the posh blonde one last year, but maybe less acerbic (sp?). shazia didn't seem to have much oomph/spark about her but the jenny one should have gone, not her x

  3. Sanddancer, you must watch the prog. It's brilliant. I think they've got an interesting line-up this year.

Jenny was definitely leaping over the line from 'assertive' to 'aggressive'. What an unpleasant person.

I have no idea who will win this year – early days I guess.

  4. Hey NMJ, I will indeed be glued to my telly every Wednesday night. I love The Apprentice!

I watched the second show on Weds and felt sorry for Shazia. She had been well and truly stitched up by Jenny. I can't see Jenny getting on with Sir Alan. She's one of those "I'm blunt" people who are actually just rude, methinks.

  5. As the last series I saw was the one where Michelle Dewberry won, I was amused that all three women were wearing scarves in the Michelle style. I wondered if they thought this was a shortcut to Apprentice success.

  6. Yes, they were! Ha ha, I think they came off looking like they should be ushering Naomi Campbell off a plane, which probably wasn't the plan...
