White rabbits

'Tis the first of November, so I shall say 'white rabbits' to attract the luck fairy. Or something.

However, M is a black rabbit and is not too happy about this scenario...

Can anyone tell me where Jan-Oct went? Please?

  1. Jan-Oct were stolen by a grey rabbit called Bluroftime. It seems as we get older Blur gets more active. Trouble is, no one seems able to catch Blur and so put an end to his month stealing activities!

  2. Ha! That Blur Wabbit, eh? You are right, AV, it's certainly the most active rabbit I've encountered...

  5. hey mell, you have brought back the memory of a girl at school who used to say 'white rabbits' at the start of every month - i have never come across anyone else who does so! she was crazy about Meatloaf and had long painted nails... yes, jan-oct were swallowed up in one huge gulp x

  6. Hey NMJ, good to see you here. I started to say that at school, too, when our crazy class teacher informed us that it would bring luck. I've probably said it for a good 25 years now, how scary... I used to paint my (long) nails a shade of purple. NMJ, I just booked somewhere for *gulp* Christmas dinner... I can't believe it; maybe it's because we had no summer? x

  7. Pinch, punch, first of the month, again. The month gobbler is at work - ignore it and pretend it's June.

  8. Melif, it was on the tip of my tongue to say the they (the months) went down a black hole, but that was just because of the association with rabbits and the image of the white one in Alice in Wonderland disappearing down a black hole. Hope you are well.
(Thanks for the comment over at mine.)

  9. Hey Signs, sorry for being so tardy in relying. This month, even more than the others we mentioned, is whizzing by at quite an alarming rate, I fear. I was bemused by the Hallowe'en stuff in the shops (then realised it was late October), and Guy Fawkes night just came and went in a puff of smoke (sorry...). Black hole is right. V weird, eh?
